Andrew Chang

Managing Director, Activate New York at Activate

Andrew Chang is the managing director of Activate New York. Andrew was previously the director of product and GM at ASUS AI Cloud Services (AICS). Andrew has also co-founded Lumo Bodytech and worked in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy.

Andrew has a passion for helping businesses solve their most challenging problems with AI technology. Andrew has setup global AI/Machine Learning, software engineering, product & BD teams in the new Singapore innovation office. Andrew has also evaluated and incubated a portfolio of in-house AI-first products and services deployed across multiple verticals.

In their previous role as CTO at Lumo Bodytech, they were responsible for the technology strategy and execution of the company. Andrew also led the team that developed the first wearable device to improve posture and reduce lower back pain.

At the U.S. Department of Energy, Andrew was responsible for developing and implementing policies to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. Andrew also served on the President's Task Force on Automotive Communities and Workers, which developed policies to support the auto industry during the economic crisis.

Andrew Chang received their BSE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and their MS in Atmosphere & Energy from Stanford University.

They work with Tom Boussie - Managing Director, Activate Berkeley, Hannah Murnen - Managing Director, Activate Anywhere. Their manager is Aimee Rose, Executive Managing Director.
