Andy Karsner

Andy Karsner serves as a Senior Strategist at X, Alphabet’s moonshot factory, since November 2013, and co-founded Elemental Labs in July 2019, where efforts focus on developing the Earth Index to assess natural capital. Karsner holds several board positions, including Member of the Board at ExxonMobil, Director and Member of the Board at Applied Materials, and Director at both Conservation International and the National Marine Sanctuaries Foundation. Additionally, Karsner is a member of the Advisory Board at MIT Media Lab and a Precourt Energy Scholar at Stanford University. Karsner's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Political Science and Religious Studies from Rice University and a Master of Arts in Comparative Asian Studies from The University of Hong Kong.
