Jyoti Taneja

Jyoti Taneja is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Varada Agriculture, a position held since January 2024. Additionally, Jyoti serves as an Entrepreneurial Fellow at Activate Berkeley since July 2023. Previous roles include Project Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley from January 2015 to October 2023, and DBT Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Analyst at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from August 2009 to December 2010. Jyoti began academic research as a Research Associate at the National Institute of Plant Genome Research, serving from August 2002 to April 2009. Jyoti holds a PhD in Life Sciences from the National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi, completed in 2008, and a Master of Science in Botany, Biotechnology from Ch. CCS University, Meerut, obtained in 2000.
