Leila Madrone is currently an Executive in Residence at Activate, where they lead efforts in developing new pathways for climate tech commercialization by fostering partnerships and exploring alternative funding strategies. They previously served as the Founder and CEO of Sunfolding from 2012 to 2017 and held the role of Senior Product Engineer at GreenVolts from 2008 to 2011. Leila also contributed to projects at NASA Ames Research Center as a Lead Engineer in the Intelligent Robotics Group from 2006 to 2008 and worked as a Lead Engineer at Biotrove from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, they were a Solar Innovation Lead at Otherlab in 2011.
