Maya Faaborg is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in engineering physics and applied sciences. Currently serving as an Activate Fellow at Activate since June 2023 and as the Founder of Capillary Nanotechnologies since October 2022, Maya has a strong background in entrepreneurship and technology innovation addressing global challenges. Previous roles include significant contributions at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences as an Associate, Research Fellow, Graduate Student, and Teaching Fellow, where Maya focused on patenting new technologies, managing complex budgets, and enhancing student engagement through innovative teaching methods. Maya also worked as a Visiting Research Specialist at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign during the COVID-19 pandemic, streamlining high-volume testing processes. Educational qualifications comprise a Master of Science in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Harvard and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Music from Coe College.
