Rick Kempinski

Rick Kempinski is an experienced leader in fellowship and program management with a robust background in transitioning scientists into entrepreneurs. Currently serving as the Director of Fellowship Recruitment at Activate since June 2022, Rick plays a pivotal role in empowering scientists to address global challenges through the Activate Fellowship. Prior to this, Rick contributed to the Partnership for Public Service as the Senior Manager of Federal Workforce Programs, where initiatives included the Future Leaders in Public Service Internship Program and the Cybersecurity Talent Initiative. Rick's earlier experience includes significant roles at the American Society of Nephrology and AAAS, where responsibilities spanned managing large fellowship programs and cultivating partnerships within federal agencies and scientific communities. Rick holds a B.S./B.A. in International Marketing and Human Resource Management from American University.
