Sonya Vial is currently the Vice President of Downstream & Low Carbon Process Technology at Shell, having held various leadership roles within the company, including General Manager of Process Development and Regional Manager for New Energies Research and Technology. Prior to this, they were a Reactive Hazards Specialist at Shell Global Solutions in Amsterdam from 2007 to 2010. Sonya earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tulane University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995.
