Africa rewards those who go further.

Active Africa designs and delivers luxury active travel experiences across the continent — walking safaris, cycling journeys, multi-active expeditions, and bespoke safari itineraries in both iconic destinations and genuinely remote wilderness environments.

Our approach is built on two decades of personal relationships with the finest guides, camps, and operators on the ground. Where others book from catalogues, we draw on direct experience — which means itineraries that are original, finely tuned, and built specifically around the people taking them.

Every programme weaves together the elements that make Africa truly immersive: extraordinary wildlife encounters, cultural depth, and exceptional food and wine. For those seeking something more demanding, we design and lead expedition-grade trips into high-altitude and remote terrain that few operators offer.

We take sustainability seriously — not as a marketing position, but as a genuine operational commitment. Every supplier we work with is selected with responsible sourcing, fair trade, and local community benefit in mind.

All of our escorted experiences are personally led by seasoned trip leaders who have often designed the routes themselves. The result is a level of continuity, expertise, and care that only comes with on-the-ground knowledge and experience.
