Øystein Bråta has a diverse work experience. Øystein began in 2006 as a Business Development Analyst at Aegis Industries before moving to Advokatfirmaet Selmer AS as a Senior Advisor. In 2009, they joined Holta Invest AS as an Investment Manager and later became an Investment Director. In 2013, they were an Interim CEO at Active Brands AS and also worked as a Chairman at Team Aker Dæhlie. Øystein then became a Managing Director Nordic and Chief Operating Officer at Active Brands AS. Øystein has also served as a Board Member for HTS BeSafe AS and Oslo Runway. Currently, they are the Chairman of Team Aker Dæhlie.

Øystein Bråta began their education in 2002 at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), where they pursued a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration with a focus on Business Analysis and Finance. Øystein completed their studies at NHH in 2006. In the same year, they attended the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, where they studied Entrepreneurship and Innovation. In 2020, Bråta enrolled at the Yale School of Management for a program in Digital Marketing: A Strategic Perspective.

The brand portfolio consists currently of Kari Traa (womens sportswear), Bula (accessories) , Vossatassar (kids wear), Åsnes (skis), Bjørn Dæhlie (cross country skiwear), Sweet Protection ( ski helmets, protection and apparel).The turnover was approximatelyNOK 650 million in 2015 and the number of employees is 165, situated in Oslo, Voss, Gothenburg,Trysil, Copenhagen, Denverand Shanghai. Active Brands aims to build strong brand positions and to become a preferred partner to the retailers. Active Brands has high ambitions for growth through our existing brands as well as future acquisitions. Active Brands has the Nordic region as home market. The strongest brands are exported to Europe and USA. The main shareholder is the Norwegian investment company Holta Invest AS.
