Matt Barton

Matt Barton has over 20 years of experience in various roles related to systems administration and infrastructure management. Matt is currently working as a Senior Mailops Engineer at ActiveCampaign since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Angi as a Systems Architect from February 2018 to August 2021, where they played a key role in supporting the Angi product infrastructure and led the Site Ops Architecture Review Board. Before that, Matt held the position of Systems Architect at 250ok from March 2017 to February 2018, where they managed the physical data center and office infrastructure and implemented companywide SSO. Matt also served as a Senior Systems Engineer & Technical Lead at Angie's List from April 2015 to February 2017, contributing to the support of the product infrastructure and leading the migration of mission critical batch jobs. From September 2010 to April 2015, Matt worked as a Senior Systems Engineer & Team Lead at StrongView, where they managed the on-demand infrastructure and created a centralized logging system. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Systems Administrator at ExactTarget from January 2005 to September 2010, playing a role in supporting the ExactTarget and CoTweet applications and designing the MTA infrastructure. Matt's earlier experience includes working as a Systems Administrator at Webexcellence from June 2001 to January 2005, managing IT infrastructure for a web hosting and design shop, and as a Technical Support Supervisor at CoreComm from March 2000 to June 2001. Matt also had contractor roles at TEKsystems and American Consulting in 1999. Throughout their career, Matt has demonstrated expertise in infrastructure management and design, migration projects, security policies, and collaborative decision-making.

Matt Barton attended Ball State University from 1995 to 1998, studying History and Political Science. However, they did not complete their degree during this time.
