Mike Bignall serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Active+ since May 2021, following a brief tenure as a contractor at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. Prior to this, Mike held multiple managerial roles at ACC New Zealand, focusing on Rehabilitation Services, Strategic Partnerships and Performance, and Health Procurement Services from December 2014 to January 2021. Additionally, Mike was a Category Leader at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment in a secondment role in early 2014. Experience at the Ministry for Primary Industries included positions as Commercial Manager and Contract Manager from September 2010 to February 2014. Earlier roles at the Pharmaceutical Management Agency involved serving as Therapeutic Group Manager and Tender Analyst from November 2004 to August 2010. Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Public Policy Analysis and Economics, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, all from Victoria University of Wellington.
