Charles Chen is a seasoned data engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and data management. Currently serving as a Staff Data Engineer at Sift since March 2022, Chen previously held the position of Sr Software Engineer/Sr Data Engineer at ActiveVideo for over 15 years. In this role, Chen primarily contributed to the architecture, implementation, and management of global data pipelines that handle billions of video streaming events daily, as well as the development of high-performance server programs to facilitate data processing from non-cloud environments to the cloud. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at StreamCast Networks from October 2001 to March 2008. Chen is an alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley.
