Greg Tonn

Product Architect at ActiveWorx

Greg Tonn has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. Greg began their career in the United States Air Force, serving as an Air Transportation Journeyman for nine years. After leaving the military, they worked at McDonald Bradley as a PC Configuration Specialist, providing technical support to a large user base. Greg then joined L-3 Titan, where they worked as a Software Engineer, involved in reverse engineering and rebuilding a legacy system.

Greg later joined MISI Company as a Software Engineer and Team Lead, managing a contract for Bank of America's Distributed Systems Testing Services group. Greg then worked at Accenture as a Product Owner, leading a team in the development of a new readiness reporting solution for the US Marine Corps.

Following this, Greg joined Nokia (formerly NAVTEQ) as a Product Manager, leading teams in the integration of traffic probe and sensor data providers for their North American Traffic product line. Greg also worked on developing a next-generation traffic incident management system.

Greg's next role was at Capital One, where they held two positions. First, as an IT Manager and Software Development Manager, they provided direction and managed various software development teams. Later, as a Technical Product Owner, they led development teams supporting different lines of businesses and presented projects to senior leadership for approval.

After Capital One, Greg joined Barclaycard as an Assistant Vice President of Product Management, responsible for defining roadmaps and executing projects across the entire bank. Greg then moved to Barclays as a VP Digital Product Owner, coordinating development efforts for the new Checking product across different platforms.

Currently, Greg is working at ActiveWorx as a Product Architect, responsible for designing major features that align with the company's business needs and product strategy.

Greg Tonn obtained an AS degree in Transportation from the Community College of the Air Force, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Greg then pursued a BS degree in Computer and Information Science at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 1998 to 2003. In addition to their academic achievements, Greg obtained the Professional Scrum Product Owner certification from Scrum.org in September 2011.
