Burt Gidaro is a strategic counsel and seasoned entertainment lawyer with extensive experience in the music, film, and television industries. Burt began their career in the business affairs department of Breakthrough Films & Television and later served as Head of Business Affairs at EMI Music Canada. They held various roles including Senior Director of Business Affairs at Universal Music Canada and General Counsel for PolyGram Entertainment’s Canadian affiliate. Currently, Burt serves as Senior Legal Counsel and Head of Communications & GR (Interim) at ACTRA National, as well as on the Board of Directors for Re:Sound Music Licensing. Educated at York University and Western University, Burt infuses their legal expertise with a passion for music and film.
