Otzar Jaffe

At Actuate, Otzar Jaffe is currently working as a Data Scientist on a part-time basis since March 2023. In this role, he is involved in various tasks, including working with multi-gigabyte folders containing tens of thousands of image files. Otzar applies active learning techniques to classify images and implements reinforcement learning with active learning to achieve higher accuracy. His expertise lies in Big Data Analytics, Big Data processing, Python programming, Jupyter, and AWS DynamoDB.

During his tenure as the Chief Social Media Officer at Actuate, Otzar contributed significantly to the company's social media presence and growth. In July, he successfully increased the number of new followers on LinkedIn by 258.3% compared to the previous month, along with a 133.9% increase in post impressions on the platform. Additionally, Otzar boosted views on Actuate's YouTube channel by 159.5%. He effectively managed and kept all of Actuate's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn, active and engaging.

Otzar actively engaged with his colleagues at Actuate, conducting insightful interviews with the data scientists Ajay Bhargava and Zachary Schmidt. These interviews covered a range of topics, from Ajay's PhD thesis to Zachary's Master's thesis, and delved into the machine learning models they build at Actuate. Otzar also conducted an interview with the Director of Product, Brian Leary, discussing Brian's role at Actuate and his sports interests, such as tennis.

In his client outreach efforts, Otzar utilizes a variety of strategies, including LinkedIn, email, and social media. He has demonstrated his research skills by tailoring his approach to learn about potential clients and their companies before reaching out. To enhance his interactions, Otzar has designed custom items to mail to prospective clients. His ability to effectively communicate and apply his expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, social media communications, Adobe Premiere Pro, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and research has been instrumental in his professional success.
