Alexander Comisar

Alexander Comisar is a seasoned communications and public affairs professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Managing Director at Actum since November 2025, Comisar previously held the position of Executive Vice President at Rise Strategy Group from April 2022 to November 2025. Prior to that, Comisar was the Director of Communications for Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti from November 2015 to April 2022. Additional experience includes serving as Public Affairs & Media Director at Cerrell Associates, Account Coordinator at Fiona Hutton & Associates, and earlier roles in journalism and public relations. Comisar began a career in communications in 2009 as the Editor in Chief of The Daily Trojan at the University of Southern California, where a BA in Journalism and Comparative Literature was earned.
