Terence Cullen has a diverse background in communications and journalism. Terence is currently employed as the Senior Vice President at Actum since 2023, previously serving as the Vice President from 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, Terence worked as the Communication Director at the New York Building Congress from 2021 to 2022, and as the Communications Manager at the New York State Executive Chamber from 2020 to 2021. Terence also gained experience as the Communications Director for New York City Council Member Costa Constantinides from 2018 to 2020, where they developed and oversaw successful media campaigns for climate policies. Terence also served as the Communications and Political Director for Costa for Queens Borough President from 2019 to 2020, managing branding and public outreach for the campaign. Before their ventures in politics, Terence worked as a Breaking News Reporter for the New York Daily News and as a Staff Writer for Commercial Observer, where they covered major real estate deals. Terence began their career in journalism as a Night Reporter and Jason Sheftell Fellow at the New York Daily News and as a Reporter for The Queens Courier. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as a Reporting Intern for Newsday.
Terence Cullen completed their education in a chronological order. Terence started with an Advanced Regents Diploma from St. Mary's High School, which they received in the years 2004 to 2008. Following that, Cullen pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Journalism from St. John's University, attending from 2008 to 2012. In 2013, they furthered their education at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, where they earned a Master's Degree in Journalism, completing their studies in 2014. Finally, Cullen undertook an Advanced Certificate program in Public Administration and Public Policy at the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies, which they completed from 2019 to 2021.
