Austin Kvaale

Austin Kvaale has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Austin is currently working as a Software Developer at ActZero since January 2023. Prior to this, they were a Full Stack Developer at UBC HIVE from September 2020 to May 2022, where they led the development of "ImprovBot", a React app designed to improve the communication skills of medical students.

Austin also gained experience as a Software Developer Intern at TELUS from September 2019 to April 2020, where they worked on a web-app that generated and maintained project estimates.

Austin served as the Film & Digital Media Director at UBC Vantage College from September 2015 to September 2018, where they captured and edited promotional videos with a global audience in mind.

Austin has also worked as a Videographer & Editor for various clients as a freelance media producer from June 2014 to August 2018.

In addition, they have experience as a Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia from September 2017 to April 2018, where they assisted in workshops and lectures.

Austin also worked as a Production Assistant in the film industry from September 2014 to January 2015, and as a Computer Specialist at London Drugs from September 2013 to October 2014.

Austin's earlier work experience includes roles as a Computer, Cameras, AVS Specialist at Best Buy Canada in December 2012, and as a Crew Member at McDonald's from September 2010 to May 2012.

Austin Kvaale began their education in 2014 at The University of British Columbia, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Film Production. Austin studied in this program until 2018. Following this, they enrolled at The University of British Columbia again in 2018, but this time pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science degree. Austin completed their studies in Computer Science in 2022.
