Sandra Selvaggi

Sandra Selvaggi is the Chief Operations Officer, Head of Manufacturing and Quality at AcuFocus. Since joining the company in 2014, Sandy has successfully implemented a quality management system, leading manufacturing operations for the company’s small aperture IOL technology through strengthening of the supply chain and ensuring fulfillment of applicable regulatory compliance requirements. Her leadership and partnership with those in the supply chain provides the vision and direction to ensure the company’s overall mission and customer needs are met.

Throughout her 30-year career in the medical device and in vitro diagnostics industries, Sandy has been instrumental in leading global quality, operational, and compliance initiatives, including new product introductions, building new manufacturing facilities, various operational cost improvement opportunities and completion of regulatory submissions. Since her earliest experiences in the ophthalmology industry, she has demonstrated a commitment and passion dedicated to the field, finding fulfillment in being able to contribute to patients’ visual improvement opportunities.

Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis.
