Doug Bowers is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in both leadership and advisory roles. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Acuity Knowledge Partners since May 2024, Bowers specializes in guiding commercial and investment banks on strategies for growth and efficiency, with a focus on commercial banking, compliance, and data technology. Previously, Bowers was the President and CEO of Banc of California, where significant organizational changes and a cultural shift were implemented. Bowers also served as President and CEO of Square 1 Bank, leading a successful IPO and substantial capital raise. Prior positions include Managing Director at Lone Star Funds/Hudson Advisors, co-leading acquisition strategies, and various high-ranking roles at Bank of America, including President of Banc of America Leasing and Head of Middle Market Banking, culminating in over 28 years at the institution.
