Bobby Ford

Bobby Ford has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Bobby began their career as a Sports Stringer, Sports Announcer, Disc Jockey, and Advertising Representative for various companies from 1986 to 1993. In 1993, they joined The Winchester Star as a Sports Writer and later took on roles such as Assistant City Editor and City Editor. From 2000 to 2008, Bobby served as the Managing Editor, overseeing a team of 40 employees and contributing to the day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the newspaper. Their responsibilities further expanded when they became the Digital Director, supervising all digital products and social media sites, and leading the establishment of the newspaper's paywall and website redesign. In 2018, Bobby joined Acuity Audiovisual as an Audiovisual Account Manager, where they work as part of a team to help businesses, government agencies, educational settings, and houses of worship effectively present and share information.

Bobby Ford attended Virginia Commonwealth University from 1988 to 1992, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Broadcast News.
