Charl Malherbe

Charl Malherbe has a solid work experience, starting as a Web Development Manager at Europcar from April 2007 to March 2010. Charl then joined Avis Budget Rent a Car South Africa in April 2010 and held the position of Senior Manager: Software Architecture until July 2020. At Avis, Charl was responsible for leading the Software and Architecture development team and overseeing the delivery and support of over 200 systems. Charl then worked at Barloworld Automotive and Logistics as the HoD: DevSecOps and Emerging Architecture from July 2020 to April 2021. Following that, they joined Falcorp Technologies as a Solutions Architect from May 2021 to November 2022. Currently, Charl is working as a Solutions Architect at Aculocity starting from January 2023.

Charl Malherbe completed their matriculation from Potchefstroom Gimnasium in 1985. Following that, from 1987 to 1991, they pursued a degree in Law, specifically a BIuris LLB, from the University of Pretoria. In terms of additional certifications, Charl obtained their Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification from Microsoft in October 2020. Charl also holds certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2022 and AWS Cloud Architect from Udacity in March 2023. Additionally, they have indicated interest in Microsoft certifications for Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, and Azure Solutions Architect Expert, although it is unclear when exactly they obtained or plans to obtain these certifications.
