Christopher Wayne

Christopher Wayne, MSc has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.

Christopher recently joined Acumen as the Associate Director for Investing in Agriculture in August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at GrowNYC for 12 years, where they held multiple positions including Director of GrowNYC Farmer Assistance, Project Manager, and Associate for GrowNYC Farmer Assistance. Christopher also served as a Market Manager during their early tenure at GrowNYC.

In 2019, Christopher worked as a Course Instructor at Columbia University in the City of New York for a brief period. Before that, they worked as a Supply Chain and Sourcing Advisor for Gamalotillo Farm from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, they served as the West Coast Correspondent for The Tico Times from 2008 to 2009.

Through these roles, Christopher has gained valuable experience in agriculture, farmer assistance, project management, market management, education, supply chain, and journalism.

Christopher Wayne, MSc earned their Master's Degree in Sustainability Management from Columbia University from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing from Ithaca College between 2004 and 2007.
