Daniel O’Connell

Daniel O'Connell is the current President & CEO at Acumen Pharmaceuticals. Daniel has also co-founded Functional Neuromodulation, and served as its CEO from February 2010 to July 2014. Prior to that, they were with Acumen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Ammonett Pharma LLC. Daniel also has experience in venture capital, having co-founded NeuroVentures Capital LLC in February 2001, where they served as Managing Partner until December 2020.

Daniel O’Connell graduated from The Roxbury Latin School, a private high school in Boston, before going on to Brown University where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Daniel'story. After working for several years, they decided to return to school to earn their Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
