Leon Amarant has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Leon started their career as a Web Production Manager at Sycamore Networks, where they were responsible for the development and deployment of enterprise applications. Leon then worked as an Associate Consultant at Green Beacon Solutions, where they designed workflows to optimize processes for clients using Onyx CRM. Leon also gained experience as a General Manager at Aquidneck Restaurant, overseeing the reconstruction of the facility and transforming it into a premier restaurant with additional services. Leon later joined Babson College as a Senior Web Developer, leading the development of a social networking solution for entrepreneurs. Leon's entrepreneurial spirit led him to found their own company, 401 Web Solutions, where they provided technology consulting and software solutions for small-to-medium sized businesses. Leon also worked as a Product Manager at The Endovascular Forum, where they led the redesign and new feature development for the online community. Currently, Leon is the Owner of Tides Newport, which consists of luxury townhomes with views of the ocean and Cliff Walk.

Leon Amarant attended the University of Rhode Island - College of Business from 1995 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems. Prior to that, they graduated from Middletown High School in 1995 with a high school diploma. In 2014, Leon obtained additional certifications from Microsoft, including a Microsoft Certified Professional and a Microsoft Specialist in Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3.
