Stephen Wensley has over 15 years of experience in the software development industry. In 2006, they began their career as a Contracted Consultant for Software Projects at EFFECTIV, where they consulted, managed, and developed websites and apps for small businesses and startups in Calgary. In 2011, they moved to Rare Method as an Interactive Developer, where they designed and developed an industry-leading proprietary content management system. In 2012, they became Interactive Lead at SAW Strategic Design Studio, where they developed large websites for clients such as Devon Energy, Canadian Association of Drilling Contractors, and the Centre for Arts & Technology. In 2014, they were a Contracted Consultant for Software Projects at the City of Calgary, where they re-built the Registered Programs Guide for Calgary Recreation. In 2015, they were a Contracted Consultant for Software Projects at GLJ Petroleum Consultants, where they re-built a legacy Perl-based system on a modern web framework with a responsive user interface. In the same year, they were also a Contracted Consultant for Software Projects at TC Energy, where they provided UI/UX design and front-end development work for a web-based dashboard. In 2016, they founded and became CEO of Acuspire, where they led a diverse team that created a product used by tens of thousands of jobseekers and hundreds of employers across Canada. In 2022, they founded and became CEO of JobOffer.com, a 100% built in Canada AI-powered jobs platform tailored specifically for staffing and recruiting agencies.
Stephen Wensley obtained a Diploma in New Media Production & Design from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in 2007. In 2018, they also obtained a certification from Documentorum for the IBM Data Science Bootcamp.
