Stephe Evans

Vice President, Engineering at ACV Auctions

Stephe Evans has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Stephe is currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at ACV Auctions since June 2019. Prior to their current role, they founded and led LocalFoody, a local and organic food directory, for nine years from April 2010 to July 2019. Stephe also held the position of Senior Director of Consumer Ventures Technology at RBC Ventures from April 2018 to June 2019.

Stephe has also contributed their expertise as the Chief Technology Officer at Butter (Subscriptions Hub) from October 2017 to June 2019. Stephe founded ZoomCrowd Inc, a digital media company that operates LocalFoody, in April 2010 and remained actively involved in its growth until June 2019.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Stephe served as the Chief Technology Officer at Kijiji, an eBay company, from April 2014 to April 2017. Stephe was also the Head of Digital Technology at Toronto Star from January 2012 to April 2014.

Prior to these roles, they held leadership positions at Sun Media as the Senior Vice President of Information Technology from July 2009 to April 2010 and at Canoe where they served as the Chief Technology Officer from July 2008 to July 2009, and as the VP of Portal and Emerging Products from September 2006 to June 2008.

Stephe began their career at Microsoft Canada Co, where they held various program management roles from September 1997 to September 2006, including Director of MSN ISMP, Group Program Manager, Lead Program Manager, and Program Manager.

Stephe Evans attended Concordia University from 1989 to 1992, where they studied English Literature and History.
