Sawan Kumar

Sawan Kumar is an experienced professional in acquisitions and project finance, currently serving as Executive Director at ACWA Power since November 2014, where previous roles included Director and Executive Manager. Concurrently, Sawan serves as a Director on the Board of Directors for both the Redstone Solar Thermal Power Plant and the Bokpoort CSP Power Plant. Prior to ACWA Power, Sawan held the position of Assistant Vice President at YES BANK, focusing on valuation, deal sourcing, and execution, alongside an investment banking background in M&A and private equity. Educational qualifications include an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a B.Tech. in Material Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Early career experiences also encompass roles at IBM Global Services and various internships in private equity and quantitative analysis.
