Dr. Peter Engerer

Dr. Peter Engerer has extensive work experience in various roles within the field of AI, software engineering, data science, and consultancy. Dr. Peter is currently working at Ada Health as the Director of AI, a position they have held since January 2024. Prior to that, they were the Head of AI at Ada Health from March 2022 to December 2023. Before joining Ada Health, Dr. Engerer worked as the Global Product Manager Software at Leica Microsystems from March 2020 to February 2022. Dr. Peter also had roles as a Software Engineer (Data Science) and Data Scientist at Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spa from August 2017 to February 2020 and from January 2019 to December 2018, respectively. Dr. Engerer started their professional career as a Consultant at Olympus Europa SE & Co. KG, where they worked from 2012 to 2016. Dr. Peter also conducted research as a Researcher at Technische Universität München from 2010 to 2016, focusing on innovative in-vivo microscopy methods to study the development, anatomy, and function of the nervous system. Dr. Peter'swork has been presented at international conferences and published in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Peter Engerer holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medical Life Science and Technology from the Technical University of Munich, which they obtained from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biomedicine at The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, from 2004 to 2009. Dr. Peter also obtained their Abitur, the German university entrance qualification, from Peter-Vischer-Schule (Gymnasium) in Nürnberg from 1995 to 2004. Dr. Engerer has also pursued additional certifications, including the Valar Leadership Accelerator Manager Mindset Course from Valar Institute and certifications in Data Science with Python and Deep Learning from DataCamp and Coursera Course Certificates, respectively.
