Bob Duff

Senior Software Engineer at AdaCore

Bob Duff has over 30 years of experience in the software engineering field. Bob started their career at Intermetrics in 1982 as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for maintaining existing compilers and designing and implementing bootstrap compilers. In 1983, they joined Software Leverage, Inc. as the Director of Engineering, where they managed a team of 20 software developers and played a key role in compiler design and implementation. Bob then became the President of Oak Tree Software, Inc. in 1986, where they provided consulting services to various client companies, specializing in compiler-related areas. Bob made significant contributions to Ada 95 as a consultant to the Ada 9X project at Intermetrics and worked with major compiler vendors such as AdaCore, Rational, and Alsys. In 1995, Bob returned to Intermetrics as a Senior Software Engineer and worked there until 2000. During this time, they focused on software engineering and contributed to the development of static analysis tools and compilers. In 2000, they joined SofCheck, Inc. as a Senior Scientist and continued their work in static analysis tool development and compiler development until 2005. Bob then joined AdaCore in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they currently work.

Bob Duff earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1982.
