Luxolo Rubushe has a diverse work experience, starting in 1998 at Accenture as a senior manager in the Process competency in the consulting division. Luxolo worked with various organizations in industries such as mining, energy, government, and retail.
In 2007, Luxolo joined the Coega Development Corporation as an Executive Manager, where they stayed until 2012. Luxolo then transitioned to the role of Chief Operations Officer in the Economic Development sector until 2012.
From 2012 to 2014, Luxolo served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency. Following that, they became the Chief Operating Officer at the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), overseeing the administration of student funding and managing various departments.
Currently, Luxolo is the Managing Director of the Education Division at Adapt IT Holdings Limited, responsible for leading the strategy and growth of the business, delivering ICT solutions in higher education institutions.
Luxolo Rubushe has a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. Luxolo also completed an Executive Development Programme in Business Administration from Stellenbosch University. Luxolo holds a BCom Honours degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Business Management from the University of Transkei/Universiteit van Transkei. Luxolo has additional certifications in Prince 2 Practitioner and Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Office (P3O) from APMG-International. Luxolo has also completed a course on Integrating Strategy, Budgeting and Reporting from the University of the Witwatersrand.
