Daniel McCrea has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Starting in 2008, they worked as a freelance course coordinator for Screen Training Ireland, coordinating courses for media professionals. Daniel also worked as an Assistant to the Head Project Funding Manager at Science Foundation Ireland, where they consolidated databases ahead of a CRM migration. Daniel then lectured on Media Finance and Philosophy as a freelance lecturer at Dublin Institute of Technology.
In 2010, Daniel joined Slam! Games as an Associate Producer, working on a game design document and investment proposal. Daniel also worked as a Software Project Manager at ServiceSource, testing software solutions for clients and becoming a subject matter expert in various tools.

Daniel McCrea has a diverse education history. Daniel began their academic journey at St. Andrew's College in Dublin, where they completed their Leaving Certificate in English Language and Literature in 1998. Continuing their pursuit of knowledge, they went on to obtain a Bachelor's degree (B.A. Hons) in Philosophy & Literature from the University of East Anglia between 1998 and 2001.
In 2001, Daniel furthered their studies by earning a Master's degree (M.A.) in Philosophy from University College Dublin. However, their educational path took a different turn when they enrolled in a Ph.D. program at the University of Warwick in 2008. Unfortunately, they discontinued their Ph.D. in Philosophy in 2010.
Throughout their education, Daniel also obtained several additional certifications. In 2003, they became a certified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher through TEFL.com. In 2005, they achieved the Arista Development Certificate in Story Development from the Arista Media Centre of Excellence. In 2007, they successfully completed the GRE (Graduate Records Examination). Daniel also completed the Graduate Skills Programme offered by the University of Warwick in 2008. In 2011, Daniel became a Prince2 (R) Practitioner through the Prince 2 APM Group.
Daniel's pursuit of knowledge extended beyond philosophy-related fields. In 2012, they obtained a White Belt certification in Six Sigma from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and completed Lux Photo's Digital Photography SLR Intermediate course and Studio Portraiture course. Additionally, they obtained a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) certification from ELT in 2014.
Most recently, Daniel acquired a certification in Large Group Discussion Facilitation - Philosophy from Socrates Cafe', Limited, in January 2020. Daniel also obtained the PMP (R) certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2014. Lastly, they hold an unidentified Specialist Philosophy Teacher - Level 1 certification from The Philosophy Foundation.
