Filipa Lopes

Filipa Lopes is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in immunology and T-cell receptor-based immunotherapy. Currently serving as Group Leader in Adaptive Biology and T Cell Cloning at Adaptimmune since October 2020, Filipa has previously held the position of Principal Scientist at Immunocore Limited, where the focus was on generating antigen-specific T cells for oncology and autoimmune targets. Filipa’s academic career includes significant roles as a Senior Scientist at the Manchester Collaborative Centre for Inflammation Research and a Post-doctoral Research Associate, as well as research positions at prominent institutions such as the University of Lisbon and University of Cambridge. Filipa holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, and a Master’s degree in Microbial Biology and Genetics from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon.
