William Bertrand

William Bertrand is the COO at Adaptimmune. Prior to this, they were the EVP, GC at Infinity Pharmaceuticals where they were responsible for Regulatory Affairs and Information Technology. William was also part of the management team that downsized the organization from 220 employees to approximately 25 post clinical trial data and partner withdrawal from collaboration agreement. Prior to Infinity Pharmaceuticals, they were the General Manager at Salix Pharmaceuticals (now a subsidiary of Valeant Pharmaceuticals) where they were responsible for commercial activities including sales and marketing. William achieved all integration related activities ahead of schedule and budget and exceeded net sales and EBITDA goals in their first full quarter as a part of Valeant.

William Bertrand received their Doctor of Law degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they graduated Cum Laude. William also holds a BS from Wayne State University in Biology, Journalism, and Speech. William Bertrand was a top student in Hartland High School.
