Michael Scott

Software Development Engineer at Adaptiva

Michael Scott's work experience begins in 2012 at PRINT NW, where they worked as a Wide-format Finisher. In this role, they ensured the quality of products, operated various machines, and implemented creative solutions to streamline workflow.

In 2017, Michael worked as a Contract Unity Consultant/Developer at Northwest Event Technology. Michael constructed a prototype presentation platform in the Unity engine, intended to replace PowerPoint. Their responsibilities included implementing 3D models and constructing them in Blender.

From 2018 to 2018, they were a Software Development Engineer at Zensa LLC, where they were contracted out to the Microsoft HoloLens team. Michael revamped and reorganized the codebase and worked on processing raw data for clients using C# and SQL.

In 2019, Michael served as a Software Developer at Quadrant Resource. Michael was contracted out to the Microsoft SQL Server Stress Testing team and revamped old code related to TPC-DS benchmarking. Michael eventually scrapped the code and wrote a new kit, handling the entire design process personally.

Lastly, Michael held the role of Software Development Engineer at Adaptiva starting in 2019, where they currently work.

Michael Scott attended Pierce College at Puyallup from 2011 to 2015, where they completed their transfer to the University of Washington Tacoma. Michael then went on to attend the University of Washington Tacoma from 2014 to 2017, where they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Systems.
