Michael Schwab has worked in a variety of roles since 1992. Theirfirst job was as an ET/RO for the US Navy in 1992. In 1999, they began working as a Senior Software Developer for Clear Channel Communications, where they designed, developed, and tested corporate LAN applications and web sites, and upgraded corporate systems from VB6 to .Net. In 2006, they became a Development Team Lead/Manager for Application Architecture Services and a Senior Software Developer at The Scooter Store, where they implemented new features and full applications for use by thousands of users, ensured maximum performance of server-based applications, and designed and maintained complex business processes in code. In 2012, they joined Rackspace Hosting as a Sr. Software Developer. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Manager of Software Engineering and Software Lead at Globalscape, Inc., where they were responsible for the enforcement of software development best practices for the engineering team and regularly leveraged their rational and logical problem solving skills to arrive at timely solutions. In 2016, they began working as a Principal Engineer and Solutions Architect at AdaptX, where they have been transforming clinical operations by empowering clinical leaders to improve and manage performance, resulting in over $25 million per year in financial gains for a hospital across high acuity services.
Michael Schwab's education history includes a Nuc E.T. degree from the Naval Nuclear Power School, which they obtained between 1992 and 1994. Michael also studied Physics at Texas Lutheran University between 1992 and 1993. In 2013, they took a Machine Learning course on Coursera. Additionally, Michael Schwab has obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, Reproducible Research, R Programming, The Data Scientist’s Toolbox, and Computational Investing, Part I.
