Kate Smith

Kate Smith is a Principal Soil Scientist at ADAS, where they focus on soil and nutrient management to mitigate diffuse pollution from agricultural systems. They have expertise in project management and data analysis, and lead several research initiatives, including their role as Deputy Scientific Coordinator for the H2020 Developing Sustainable Permanent Grassland Systems and Policies project. Previously, they completed a PhD at the University of Stirling and held various positions at ADAS since 2020. Kate is also a Full member of the British Soil Science Society and a fellow of the Association of Applied Biologists, contributing to workshops and webinars on soil health and nutrient management.
