Toby Townsend

Toby Townsend is the Principal Sustainable Food and Agriculture Consultant at ADAS, where they focus on enhancing the sustainability and productivity of agricultural and food supply chains. Their expertise includes measuring greenhouse gas emissions, developing water stewardship strategies, and supporting policy development for sustainable food systems. Previously, Toby served as a Senior Sustainable Food and Agriculture Consultant at ADAS and held a role as a KTP Research Associate at the University of Nottingham. They earned a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and hold an MSc in Crop Improvement, both from the University of Nottingham, alongside a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Durham.
