After a decades-long run of providing media planning and placement as a service of not for profit associations, AdWest Marketing started the transition into something with expanded capabilities in January 2015.  The next step in that evolution occurred on July 4, 2017 with the re-branding of AdWest Marketing as AdCanada Media Inc.
 
The framework for AdCanada Media Inc. was built with a long-term vision and the knowledge that more efficient operations would eventually lead to expanded services and ultimately an entirely new business model for the future. That ‘future’ for us began in July of 2016 with taking the first steps in the launch of a new, for profit venture.  The objective was simple, create a media sales and marketing operation that could respond to the fast-changing needs of the marketplace and assist clients in campaign execution beyond a simple roster of titles.
 
Many clients have already experienced some of the effects of our new vision and as a result, included community print in campaigns whereas before it would have been too difficult to manage.  It is this ability to help agencies and advertisers execute print campaigns on a national basis that has put the greatest distance between the services we offered under the old structure and those we are able to promote as part of the blueprint for AdCanada.
 
As of May 31, 2017 our database of member and affiliate newspapers has grown to over 370 titles across Canada and it grows by the week.  Our scope is now truly national and our relationships extend directly to individual publishers, small groups as well as reciprocal selling arrangements with the large corporate operations.
 
While there’s no end of data to support the fact that newspapers in rural communities are still the #1 source of news and information, by a significant margin, the reality is planning and executing community newspaper campaigns can be a cumbersome process.  Under AdCanada Media Inc. we are now in a position to change that.
