Alyson L. Young

Alyson L. Young, PhD, currently serves as a Technical Writer in Patient Centered Outcomes and Research Manager at Adelphi Values since January 2020. Previously, Alyson held the position of Assistant Professor in Human-Centered Computing at IUPUI from August 2016 to December 2019, where responsibilities included leading research collaborations, mentoring students, managing research projects and budgets, and developing curricula. Alyson's experience also encompasses roles as an Independent Contractor for ACM, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at University of Maryland Baltimore County, contributing to scholarly publications and curriculum development. Early career highlights include a Web & Social Media Analyst position at Academica Group Inc., as well as various academic roles at the University of Western Ontario and Stikeman Elliott LLP. Alyson's educational background features a PhD in Human Centered Computing from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, along with several degrees in Communication and Media Studies.
