Alexander Carius

Alexander Carius is Partner and Chairman of the Advisory Board of adelphi, a non-profit think-tank Alexander founded in 2001 and managed for two decades. With a focus on the future of democracy and governance, their work spans sustainable resource use, climate risks, and urban futures. Carius translates scientific insights into practical policy making, advising NGOs, government agencies, and international organizations on sustainable pathways. They have also served as a Senior Advisor at UNEP and held positions at various institutes, including Ecologic and the Free University of Berlin. Carius is currently pursuing an M.A. in Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin.
