Adil Asim

Adil Asim has a wealth of experience in software development and information security. Adil began their career in 2016 as an Information Security Student at Fidelity Investments, where they developed macros using VBA, Openpyxl and Selenium to automate transfer of data and analyzed employees' application and Active Directory access during audits. In 2017, they worked as a Backend Developer at Red Trait Ventures, where they built a backend for a web app using Nmap, Flask, GraphQL and JWT and used C#, Facebook Graph API and IBM Watson to develop a paid feature for an ASP.NET web application. That same year, they also worked as a Full Stack Developer at PerkinElmer, Inc., where they designed and developed advanced simulation models using SciPy and NumPy and used scikit-learn and pandas to develop an artificial neural network to identify elements in a chemical solution. In 2018, they worked as a Blockchain Developer at Fast Access Blockchain (FA Enterprise System Inc.), where they developed a client-side web wallet using Angular and wrote Solidity smart contracts. In 2019, they worked as a Software Developer Intern at #paid, where they architected and built an Amazon Redshift data warehouse and architected and implemented a workspace feature using Ruby on Rails (w/ RSpec), React, and PostgreSQL. Adil also worked as a Software Engineer Intern - Data at Credit Karma, where they built a hybrid recommender system, designed and conducted experiments, and developed data pipelines using Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam and Airflow. Currently, Adil Asim is a Senior Software Engineer at Adeptmind.

Adil Asim graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2020 with a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they earned a High School Diploma from the International School of Choueifat in 2015.
