Philip Hurwitz

Philip Hurwitz has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Philip currently serves as the Global IT Director at Aderant since January 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Information Technology at MedZed from March 2015 to January 2019, where they played a crucial role in building and managing the fully cloud-based IT infrastructure. Philip also served as the Owner of Philip Hurwitz Consulting from September 2014 to March 2015, providing consulting services in various areas. In addition, Mr. Hurwitz worked as the Director of IT at the City of Sarasota from August 2012 to August 2014, overseeing IT operations. Philip also had a lengthy tenure at The Home Depot, starting as a Senior Manager, IT in December 2003 and continuing until August 2012. Additionally, they worked as an IT Manager at RMA Home Services, a Home Depot affiliate, from July 2001 to December 2003, where they managed the infrastructure and help desk. Philip began their career as a Computer Services Specialist II at the Georgia Tech Research Institute from September 1995 to July 2001. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme from July 1994 to July 1995, where they taught English in three junior high schools.

Philip Hurwitz attended the University of Florida from 1985 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology. Philip then continued their education at the same university from 1990 to 1991 and earned a Master of Education (M.Ed) in English. In addition to their academic degrees, Philip Hurwitz has obtained certifications such as the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2014 and the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation in IT Service Management, from EXIN.
