Albert Sellarès

Albert Sellarès has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Albert is the Founder and CEO of IT KNOWLEDGE GROUP SL since 2014. Additionally, they have worked for Adevinta, where they served as the Global VP of Engineering for the entire Adevinta group, leading a team of approximately 1500 engineers and overseeing an annual revenue of around 2 billion dollars. Albert also held the position of CTO at Adevinta Spain, where they led the technology, CIO, data, and analytics teams, and managed a team of around 450 individuals. Before that, Albert was the Head of the IT department at Institut de Diagnòstic per la Imatge, managing a yearly budget of approximately 300 thousand euros and being responsible for the IT systems of several Catalonian hospitals. Albert also worked as a freelance consultant and a trainer at NetMind, where they taught courses on GNU/Linux, networking, opensource, and security to professionals from various companies. Albert's expertise includes system administration, system architecture, and cluster design and deployment.

Albert Sellarès obtained a postgraduate degree in digital leadership (S-PACE) from Schibsted Media Group in 2016, focusing on the high impact execution of strategy and digital transformation. Albert also completed a computer engineering degree (5 years at university) from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in 2008. In 2020, they enrolled in IESE Business School for a program on communication skills that empower leadership. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Data Center Technical Specialist and Novell Certified Linux Administrator from Novell in 2009, as well as LPI1 and LPI2 from the Linux Professional Institute in the same year.
