Anthony Bates is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience across various industries. Currently, as the Head of Legal & Government Relations for Emerging Markets at adidas since May 2019, Anthony leads legal strategy and compliance initiatives. Prior roles include Group General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at MOBY GROUP and General Counsel & Director of Asian Operations at MBD Energy Ltd. Anthony has also held positions with General Motors in multiple regions, including senior legal roles in Thailand, India, and China. Anthony’s legal expertise is supported by an LLB from Murdoch University, an MBA from the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business in Shanghai, and a BA from Monash University.
