James Tarrier is currently the Director of Technology Innovation in Sustainability at adidas, where they develop and implement strategies focused on innovation within sustainability, materials, and processes. Since 2019, they have led strategic partnerships and facilitated public funding in support of these initiatives. Previously, from 2011 to 2014, James served as a Mechanical Engineer and later as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the adidas innovation team, contributing to various apparel and footwear projects, including the UltraBoost running shoe. They hold a BSc in Sports Technology and a Ph.D. from Loughborough University.
