Matty Merrill is an experienced design director in sports apparel, currently serving as the Design Director for US Sports Apparel at adidas since October 2009, overseeing designs for Football, Dugout (Baseball & Softball), and Hockey, including all aspects of Hockey apparel for major events. Prior to adidas, Matty held leadership roles as President and Creative Director at distilled product, which focused on soft goods and private label consultancy, and founded a contemporary fashion brand. Matty's early career included positions as a menswear designer at Triple 5 Soul and as a freelance design assistant at Tommy Hilfiger. In addition to a strong design background, Matty contributes to the Grant Generals Middle School Wrestling Team as an assistant coach, promoting personal growth in young athletes. Matty holds a Bachelor of Arts in Design and Art History from Stanford University.
