John Dunbar

John Dunbar serves as a Senior Program Manager for Continuous Improvement at Adient since October 2016, leading workstreams such as TVM, Monozukuri, and VE/VA for LandRover, Nissan, and Toyota programs. Previously, John held the position of Senior Manager Continuous Improvement, overseeing value management initiatives for the Nissan Business Unit Europe and plant improvement activities at the Sunderland plant. Prior experience includes various roles at Johnson Controls Automotive from August 1994 to September 2016, culminating as Monozukuri Manager and leading value management processes within the Nissan Business Unit Europe. Additional roles at Johnson Controls involved directing Material Value Improvement processes and continuous improvement initiatives. Earlier positions at Durham Switchgear Ltd and Marconi Radar Systems included design engineering and mechanical technician roles. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Technology from The Open University, earned between 2012 and 2018.
