Marcelo Assis

Marcelo Assis currently serves as the Executive Director of Adient South America, overseeing the overall P&L, commercial, and operational activities of the seating system business since November 2016. Prior to this role, Marcelo held various leadership positions at Johnson Controls, including General Manager South America and Managing Director for both Johnson Controls & Summit Interiors Ltd Thailand and Johnson Controls Automotive. Marcelo's experience also includes a role as Plant Manager at Prevent Thierry Brazil Ltda, where responsibilities involved the startup of trim operations and collaboration with major automotive manufacturers. Earlier in the career, Marcelo worked as a Quality Engineer at Cambuci. Marcelo holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia de Varginha, completed in 1994.
