Xiaoying Shan is an experienced operations director currently leading Foam Operations for Adient in the Asia-Pacific region since July 2018. Responsibilities include overseeing the Foam Operation teams across Asia, standardizing processes and equipment, and representing the region in global networks. Previously, Xiaoying served as a Senior Manager at BASF China Ltd., ensuring product quality for PTHF plants and supporting global customer applications. With extensive experience at BASF from 2006 to 2018, Xiaoying drove technical development in flexible and specialty polyurethane foams, coordinating regional projects and enhancing quality standards. Xiaoying holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University.
